The Hawaiian Bobtail Squid and Aliivibrio Fischeri

Tiny speck in a universe-sized ocean,
Unites harmoniously with other tiny specks.
And together do they set into motion,
an effect as beautiful as it is complex.
Quorum sensing to seek their density,
gives rise to a tiny miracle, we know -
made no less exquisite by its mild intensity
of setting a symbiotic body aglow.
