April 7th 2021 Poem Seven: Hidden

Hidden

04.07.2021

Inner turmoil

Bubbling up inside

Spilling forth

In expressions I can't hide

Emotions stewing

Cooking me from within

Biting your tongue

Leaves blood on your chin

The body's just flesh and muscle

It can't contain this force

But unleash it without thinking

And suffer through remorse

Anger, injustice, frustration

These are nothing new

But living with them inside

Will make you come unglued

So open your mouth

Unclench your fist

It's time the world knew

That you exist..
